The founder of IPSTYLE patent law company, patent and trademark attorney Mariya Ortynska has been appointed to the Enforcement Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for the 2024–2025 term. Together with other intellectual property specialists she will focus on specific objectives within three umbrellas: advocacy, resources, and communications.

Committee members work closely with global staff to assess and address a wide range of issues related to trademarks and intellectual property, including advocating trademarks and brand owner rights, developing resources for industry stakeholders and the public, communicating and implementing strategic initiatives, planning educational programs and events.

The Committee monitors and analyzes cases, legislation, and regulations in various jurisdictions, proposes trademark enforcement policy recommendations to the Board, evaluates enforcement mechanisms adopted by worldwide jurisdictions, and develops policies to achieve harmonization of enforcement procedures for the best protection of trademark rights.

This year, more than 4,400 member volunteers applied to serve on INTA committees. Our congratulations to Mariya Ortynska.
