SolarGaps is a Ukrainian startup that has developed the world's first solar-powered blinds.
SolarGaps contacted IPSTYLE's Innovation Management Practice with a request to obtain patent protection abroad on the basis of a previously filed international application under the PCT.
The IPSTYLE team provided advice on patent term limits, and possible ways to extend and manage them, and proposed a protection strategy in several jurisdictions. After the strategy was agreed upon by the client, we supported the patenting of the SolarGaps solution in the United States, India, and European countries through the European Patent Office.
The client has already successfully obtained the relevant patents for the invention, and the IPSTYLE team continues to support and manage the client's patent portfolio in several jurisdictions simultaneously.
