The IPSTYLE team took part in the IT Arena, one of the largest tech conferences in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. In particular, IPSTYLE Chief Executive Officer Olha Martysh acted as a mentor for startups on the eve of the Startup Competition.
She says startups understand and value the importance of IP, which can be among their main assets. Holding IP rights is another way to boost startups’ ability to raise funds. The focus should be on the types of intellectual property and systematical transfer, strategies, and structure to maximize IP benefits.
"However, you need to think about IP not when an investor asks about it, but at the start of competitive product idea,” says Olha Martysh.
IT Arena traditionally becomes each year an amazing place for networking, inspiration, and bringing new ideas to life as well as business opportunities. The event has consistently set the pace for the technology industry in Ukraine for over 10 years. In 2024 it culminated with approximately 50 meetups covering a wide range of topics — from business strategies to innovative product development.
Startup Competition is the part of IT Arena and the largest startup competition in Ukraine featuring a record 60 semi-finalist startups (defence tech and civil sector categories) this year. The event offers participants expanded opportunities to network, attract investments, and showcase their products on Ukraine’s main technology stage. The winners received cash prizes for development and scaling.
