Previously, trademark registration in Qatar was possible through the Intellectual Property Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry only. This required more effort and finance, the services of a patent attorney directly in Qatar, etc.
If you are a trademark holder in any Madrid System Member you will be able to seek overseas protection of your trademark in Qatar.
If you are already the holder of an international trademark registration, you will be able to expand its geographical scope to include Qatar. As well as other countries according to your business interests.
