Iryna Ortynska is a lecturer of the “Intellectual Property 3.0” course

Iryna answered the question whether it is necessary to patent technical solutions in general and defined the procedure for patenting in Ukraine.

As part of the course for lawyers “Intellectual Property 3.0”, created by Business Consulting Academy, Iryna Ortynska, Head of Inventions, Utility Models, Industrial Designs Department of IPStyle, acted as a lecturer at the module on patenting.

During the lecture, Iryna answered the question whether it is necessary to patent technical solutions in general and defined the procedure for patenting in Ukraine.

In addition, Iryna Ortynska told about the cases when a patent may not be granted, explained in detail the criteria of patentability: novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability.

The lecturer paid special attention to cases when patent protection may be granted to inventions related to economic, commercial activities.

Types of patent searches, their algorithms were considered, a list of patent bases was given and examples of searches were shown during the lecture.

Separately Iryna told about the features of international patenting under the PCT procedure and patenting procedure in the USA and the EU.
