Now in its 5th year, IPStyle hosts the Women in IP Law Networking Event, an initiative of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) to bring together women practitioners in intellectual property and related fields!
This year’s meetings, which took place simultaneously around the world, focused on a discussion of Michelle Obama’s book ‘Becoming’. This book is relevant to us because Michelle was also an intellectual property lawyer and faced the same challenges and struggles in finding meaningful work, while also balancing her career.
On May 20, 20 Ukrainian intellectual property professionals attended a lecture by the leading Ukrainian designer, founder of the Vozianov brand Fedir Vozianov. The dresses, created by Fedir are real works of art, but as soon as you take them off the canvas, they turn into clothes.
Fedir gave us a lecture ‘Creativity as life without a plan’ and told about his way and how a designer gets ideas. And as part of our discussion of Michelle Obama’s book, we talked about whether finding one’s own style is really a crucial part of fulfillment.
Many thanks to everyone who joined us! We’re already waiting and getting ready for our next meeting!
