Grab yourself a coffee, sit down comfortably and plunge into the atmosphere of AIPPI 2019

We are happy and proud to announce that IPStyle has traditionally visited AIPPI World Congress. This year Congress attended by our Managing Partner Mariya Ortynska and IP Lawyer and AIPPI first-year attendee Olha Martysh.

AIPPI 2019 was held between 15 – 18 September 2019 in London. Hot topics for this year`s event include Brexit, IP, and artificial intelligence (AI) as part of the programme of plenary and panel sessions and a separate day was dedicated to pharma questions.

Managing Partner Mariya Ortynska participated in the Panel Session – “Right on the money – IP and finance”.

The main message of the session is that – “A company’s intangible property is typically now more valuable than its physical assets and it can be commercialised in numerous ways. Intellectual property rights are not generally reflected in a company’s balance sheet and assessment methodologies remain opaque, inconsistent and feel unnecessarily complex to the non-specialist”

London’s weather was very generous to AIPPI participants this year. It was a pleasure to get up early in the morning and attend the breakfast panel on Genuine Use of trademarks. The panel focused on trademark use issues from Canadian, European and Singaporean perspective.

At the session, participants had a unique opportunity to hear in person from patent attorneys as to some regional peculiarities as well as up-to-date case-law on the matter.

Mariya and Olha brought wonderful memories, new professional contacts and great experience, which they will be happy to put into practice in order to protect your IP.
