Russia has joined to the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs

On November 30, 2017 to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was handed over a certificate of ratification by the Russian Federation of the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement on the International Registration of Industrial Designs.

On February 28, 2018 the Geneva Act will enter into force on the territory of Russian Federation.

The adoption of this agreement took Russia 18 years from the date of the diplomatic conference in Geneva in 1999.

Since this date, foreign applicants will be able to use the opportunity of the Hague System to obtain protection of industrial designs in Russia by submitting one international application in one language and paying a single set of official fees in Swiss franc (CHF).
