More than 40 teams participate in the Moot Competition on Intellectual Property

44 teams from all over Ukraine were registered for first Ukrainian competition for law students “Moot Competition on Intellectual Property”, which will be held from March 1 to April 23, 2017, with the support of the company IPStyle.

Despite the end of only the first phase of the competition, we can say that Ukraine's first Moot Competition on intellectual property was held — it participants are over 80 students from across the country.

The largest representation has the T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv — 24 students.

In second place goes the Y. Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv) — 14 people.

In the top three with 13 members is also the Institute of international relations of T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv .

Also their representatives have the universities from Odesa, Lviv, Donetsk, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytsky.

Along with this four teams consists of students from different universities.

The “youngest” participants are the students of the 2nd course, but mostly the contestants study for 5-6 year.

In the nearest future the jury will be represented, which will include leading practitioners of the IP market.

The co-organizers of the competition are Students' League of the Ukrainian Bar Association and IPStyle Patent Law Company. To participate in the Moot Competition team consisting of two people had to apply before March 1. After that, participants received a plot. The Memorandum must be provided by the teams within the period from 14 to 25 March.

April 1 will be announced the participating teams in the oral round of the competition, which will be held on April 22-23 in Kyiv.

The prize fund is 10 thousand hryvnia.
